Twenty years ago, schools had a different atmosphere compared to today. Technology was not as advanced, and classrooms relied more on traditional teaching methods. The classrooms were usually arranged with rows of desks facing the front, where the teacher stood at a blackboard. Teachers used chalk to write lessons and assignments, and students took notes with pen and paper.        In terms of resources, textbooks were the main source of information for students. They would carry heavy backpacks filled with textbooks for different subjects. Research was primarily done in the library, where students would search through shelves of books and encyclopedias to find information for their projects and assignments.
      Communication between teachers and parents was mainly done through handwritten notes or phone calls. There were no online portals or email systems to easily share updates and progress reports. Parent-teacher meetings were held in person, providing an opportunity for face-to-face discussions about a student's academic performance.
     Discipline was stricter in schools back then. Students were expected to follow rules and regulations, and any misbehavior was met with consequences such as detentions or even suspensions. The focus was on maintaining order and ensuring a respectful learning environment.         Overall, schools 20 years ago had a more traditional and structured approach to education. While technology has significantly changed the way we learn and communicate today, the values of discipline and hard work remain important in both eras.
