Mr. Bean or Bean is a popular 15-episode British comedy television series starring male star Rowan Atkinson as the main character named for the movie. The screenplay is written by Rowan Atkinson, Robin Driscoll, Richard Curtis and Ben Elton. The first episode, "Mr. Bean" was aired on January 1, 1990 and the last episode "The Best Bits of Mr. Bean" on December 15, 1995.

      Based on a character developed by Rowan Atkinson while he was in college, the series pursues Mr.'s feats. Bean, who Atkinson describes as "a child in the body of an adult", when dealing with problems that arise in everyday tasks and problems encountered in solving.                During its five-year screening, the series won a huge UK audience, as high as 18.74 million for the 1992 episode. Trouble with Mr. Bean (The Trouble With Mr. Bean) and has received several international awards, including the Rose d'Or award. This series has been sold in more than 200 different territories around the world, and it has inspired two feature films and several byproducts and animated series.

     The character Mr. Bean has been in development since Rowan Atkinson was studying for a master's degree at Oxford University. A sketch of the character was made at the Edinburgh Fringe in the early 1980s. A similar character, Robert Box, played by Rowan Atkinson, appeared on ITV on the 1979 Canned Laughter show, there. Also introduces an item included in the movie version. In 1987, one of the first appearances of Mr. Bean at Just for Laughs show, comedy festival in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. As the performers were arranging Rowan Atkinson into the festival program, Atkinson insisted that he wanted to do a show in French rather than in English. After his performance, Atkinson's role was an experiment for the character Mr. Bean and Atkinson wanted to show everyone how the character portrayed silent comedy on the international stage to non-English speaking audiences.

       The character's name has yet to be decided after the first show was produced. A variety of names are related to other vegetables such as Mr. Cauliflower, is already in place. Rowan Atkinson cites an earlier comedian character Monsieur Hulot, created by French screenwriter and director Jacques Tati. Make an impact on the character Mr. Bean.
