Yesterday was my birthday. I didn't have intention of helding a birthday party so I didn't say to anyone about my special day. However, in the evening, my friend hold a surprise party for me. I was so surprised that I shouted in excitement. There were a lot of candies, fruit and snacks for all of us. They even bought a cake with tiny candles on it. I blew the fire and prayed for a better time. I am so grateful that I was given so much.

My name is Hong Nhung, I'm 14 years old. Last April 20, my parents celebrated my birthday with you so happy and meaningful.

A few days earlier, during dinner, my mother graciously told:

- Hong Nhung's birthday is coming soon! This year, the girl liked her mother give what gifts?

I was shyly not sure how to answer when my dad said:

- This time, I'll give you a surprise! A gift is not in my imagination.

During the meal, I wondered but couldn't bear it.

Sunday morning, my mother woke up early to clean the house. Khoa and his brother also helped her mother. The sisters cleaned the tables and chairs and the floor was clean. Everything was done, my father took my mom to the market. I heard my mother telling my dad, "We will buy you a bouquet of roses for my daughter!"

Moments later, my parents came back. I cheerfully welcomed a bunch of fresh velvet from my mother's hand. Mom said:

- Make your own flower arrangements to see if your daughter is skilled!

Thanks to Mum's guidance, I also inserted a lovely vase and put it in the middle of the long table covered with green towels, the red roses stood out in the middle of the green towel background, looking beautiful! On the table, she presented a few platters of fruit, candies, ... and a cream cake with 11 tiny candles of all colors. The words: "Happy Birthday Hong Nhung" look like your eyes. Mom urged me to comb my hair and change into new clothes.

Outside the door suddenly heard a bustling laugh. Huong, Oanh, Quyen, Tu and Duc rushed in, congratulated and gave me small but funny and cute gifts: notebooks, hair bows, crayons, etc. squeezing my hand so tightly touched my heart I was speechless.

The birthday party was really fun. I blew out the candles with applause and happy birthday singing. Father and mother wish you good obedience, good study, and be loved by everyone. A strange feeling, hard to describe suddenly made me tears. I want to hug my parents, Khoa and my friends to share my happiness.

He gave me a gift that he said was special and asked me to open it. An alarm clock shaped like a rooster with a crimson crest and an arrogant-looking neck. Everyone burst into excitement. Seeing it makes me fall in love immediately. From now on, this alarm clock will become a close friend to me, reminding me to go to school on time.
