A good friend has some important qualities. First, trust is central to any relationship. A friend who you can be vulnerable with and trust with your feelings and private thoughts is the one who you need. Next, a good friend will not use you. Friendship should have the give and take. In addition, a good friendship has boundaries. There may be times when you need to be alone or things that you need to say "no" to. A good friend will respect your boundaries. There is no exact answer to what makes a good friendship because we are all different and our needs change. Every connection varies from person to person. However, the three qualifies mentioned above are the most important ones in my opinion.
