In my family, household chores is divided equally. My mother is the one who cares for cooking, shopping for groceries and washings whereas my father does the heavy lifting and hang the washings out. My brother helps with sweeping the house and taking out the rubbish. I am responsible for washing the dishes and collect dried clothes. We all know the benefits of sharing housework. First, sharing is caring. As many hands make light work, we choose to split household chores to reduce the burden one is handling. Second, sharing housework helps me and my brother learn to live independently from an early age, which develops soft skills and communication skill. Last but not least, sharing housework brings us closer as we are busy working and studying all day so sharing is gathering and cheering. In short, my family wants to share housework because of these advantages above.
