In my opinion, the two most important qualifications to volunteer abroad are being fluent in English and being aware of the issues that are currently being faced by that nation. First of all, English is frequently used as a common language of communication between individuals from various nations and is widely acknowledged as a global language. Speaking English fluently allows you to interact, communicate, convey ideas, and work effectively with most people. It also helps you forge bonds with volunteers and members of the community. Additionally, it is crucial for the young people to have knowledge or comprehension of current issues in the nation in which they will be volunteering. This helps volunteers avoid culturally sensitive situations and effectively customize the project by giving them a deeper understanding of the opportunities and challenges that the local community faces. This facilitates their ability to participate in dialogue, pose pertinent queries, and provide solutions.
