Every year on the full moon day of March, the people of Ba Duong Noi village, my hometown, eagerly participate in the kite flying competition. According to her, this festival was held to commemorate the merits of General Nguyen Ca, a son of the village who helped Dinh Bo Linh put down the rebellion of 12 warlords. Therefore, right from early morning, contestants and spectators crowded the courtyard. Looking up at the sky, hundreds of kites with many shapes and colors are flying. The melodious sound of the kite flute blends together to create a soaring song all day long. The kite that flies the highest and makes the loudest sound will win. I love and am very proud of the good traditions of my homeland.
