Going to college or university used to be the best choice for school leavers and it is considered the most stable way to get a career while getting vocational training is the fastest way to get a trade. From my perspective, although vocational schools have some advantages, I prefer universities or colleges for numerous reasons.

Undergoing vocational instruction has several limitations. To begin with, getting vocational training can limit the verge of studying as vocational schools are low appreciated in higher education. If school leavers want an academic degree or a deeper view of professional specialisation, vocational training won’t be a suitable option for them. Moreover, despite experiencing reality in many famous places, having a low level of education may be a disadvantage for scholars to gain a good career with a high salary and promotion in the job. Additionally, the opportunities to contact new advancement can be decreased with students who do not go to universities, they may not have enough chance or time to research, explore the world or develop their talents since vocational schools provide a short duration of studying and most of the time is used for trainees to practice instead of experiencing new knowledge. Consequently, getting vocational training can have many drawbacks and scholars’ talents can be limited.

In addition, attending universities or colleges can have a multitude of benefits. These institutions offer a structured and rigorous academic curriculum, which can help students develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and effective communication skills. Additionally, universities and colleges often have well-equipped libraries, laboratories, and research centres that provide students with access to cutting-edge resources and technologies. Furthermore, universities and colleges are excellent places to expand one's social network and make lifelong connections with peers, professors, and alumni. Finally, obtaining a degree from a reputable university or college can significantly enhance one's career prospects and earning potential since recruitment for high positions requires a high level of education and professional knowledge. 

In conclusion, school leavers nowadays are no longer forced to go to universities or college, they have more choices to pursue their dream careers. However, I believe that pursuing academic studies is the best option.
