The H'mong population is over 500,000 people. It ranks sixth on the list of Vietnam's ethnic groups.

 Living places, house ( nơi ở và kiểu nhà)

They live mainly in the North of Vietnam. The houses of the H'mong include two kinds of houses. There are stilt houses and arthouse. Stilt houses are made from natural materials like wood, bamboo, leaves...

 Economy ( Kinh tế )

The Kmong mostly earn their living from weaving, farming, and blacksmithing ( rèn). They cultivate corn, and rice in some places with terraced fields. The livestock of the Hmong have buffaloes, cows, chicken,... In the past, the Hmong people believed that raising livestock was a woman's job, and earning meat in the forest was a man's job.

 Traditional culture ( văn hóa truyền thống)

The Hmong costumes are very colorful and fitted with beautiful ornaments. They have cowardice dance, the Gau Tao festival, and Hmong cloth is well-known for being unique in painting beeswax on cloth. They have many specialties such as corn tottlias, five-color sticky rice, and mèn mén and corn wine, which are famous dishes people favor.
