It is very clear that gender discrimination happens in a large number of families . It happens on the selection of gender when the mother are in the family way and many couples choose the abortion when they know the kid is a girl . Many families pamper a boy better than a girl . They care a boy a lot but neglect a girl ‘s growth . What happens come from the old notion that when they become older , their sons will look after them and their daughter will be a daughter in-law , who has to take care of their mother-in-law , not their natural parents . Besides , in the family , parent don’t make way for their daughter to study higher despite the fact that they are very hard and good at learning . Moreover , they have to stay at home as a housewife and  men is the breadwinners of the family with a chance to go out for work . Moreover , women is often the victims of domestic violence , which may  lead to some mental and health issue . In Eastern society , it is an undeniable fact that women can get married with only one man but men can get more wives if they want
