I would define it simply as any kind of philanthropic work for which you do not get paid. The difference between volunteer work and any other kind of employment is that you do the tasks willinglywithout any financial incentiveor hopes of economic gain.

Every year I do volunteer work, it's very interesting. When we volunteer, volunteering is beneficial for both our mental and physical health. It has been shown that people enjoy a more satisfying life by helping others, which allows them to clear away stress, anxiety, and depression. And when they volunteer, they will accumulate better work experience and develop their careers. Such life skills can be obtained through this activity such as teamwork, problem solving, time management. I like it very much.
