On January 29, 1991, the Council of Ministers issued Decision No. 25/CT on taking March 27 as "Vietnamese Sports Day". "Vietnam Sports Day" is held annually to attract people from all walks of life to participate in the movement of physical training and healthy cultural and sports activities.

After the August Revolution of 1945 was successful, Uncle Ho read the Declaration of Independence giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. Uncle was also the founder of the sport (sports) background of the new regime. Pursuant to the decision of the National Congress of Vietnam (1st National Assembly) meeting on March 2, 1946 of the Government of the Union of Resistance, on behalf of the Government of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, on March 27/ In 1946, President Ho Chi Minh signed Decree No. 38 establishing the Department of Youth and Physical Education in the Ministry of National Education. The Department includes the Central Youth Room and the Central Gymnasium. In fact, with the regulations of the Ministry of National Education, the Central Gymnasium assumes all the functions and tasks of the old Central Gymnastics Department.

At the end of March 1946, President Ho wrote "A call for the entire people to exercise, including the passage: "Preserving democracy, building the country, creating a new life, everything needs health to succeed. labour. Each weak citizen, ie makes the whole country weak; Every healthy citizen means contributing to a healthy country. Therefore, exercise and improve health, that is, contribute to a healthy country. With the above profound historical meanings, March 27 is considered by our State as the annual "Vietnam Sports Day".

With actions such as: Promulgating the Ordinance on the establishment of the Sports Industry, writing the "Call for the entire people to exercise", personally launching the Healthy for Water movement, President Ho Chi Minh gave birth to the Gymnastics industry. New sport of the new Vietnam.

Sports coaches, athletes, referees. That is the concern of the Party and the Government and is the source of the development of Vietnam's sports industry.

In the last five years, Vietnam's sports industry has had important turning points, leaving a brilliant mark. Especially with the excellent achievement of winning a silver medal at the AFC U23 Championship in China; silver medal at the Asian U16 football tournament in Japan and many more medals in other subjects in the continental arenas... This is the driving force and a source of fresh wind for the country's sports. Hopefully, in the coming years, Vietnamese sports will achieve more resounding successes in the continental as well as the world arena.

Along with the general development of Vietnamese sports, sports at the Vietnam Academy of Agriculture also have very encouraging achievements. In 2020, with the attention and facilitation of the Party Committee and the Board of Directors on sports work, the sport movement in the Vietnam National Academy of Agriculture has inherited and promoted the achievements achieved in the previous years. Thereby, maintaining the leading position in sport and physical education in the block of universities and colleges in Hanoi, becoming a unit for 44 consecutive years that has won the title of excellent advanced unit in sport and physical activity of Hanoi capital.

In 2020, the teaching of Physical Education and the organization of sports activities of the Academy has achieved specific results such as: Regularly launching the movement of physical training throughout the Academy in response to the campaign. movement "All people exercise their body following the great Uncle Ho's example"; Regularly organize the consolidation of sports clubs, build a sports team of the Academy to participate in sports competition activities with the locality where the Academy contributes and the prizes awarded by the Hanoi Sports Association, the Sports Association.
