In short, our country's social morality is deteriorating - something that makes people unhappy and often worried. The degradation of social morality can be quantified as recently some intellectuals stated: "Moral degradation is alarming!" (1), "Degrading situation of culture and social morality society is already at a dangerous level” (2).

Within the past few years, the media has presented quite a number of "unprecedented" manifestations in our society - of moral decay, with an increasing trend, increasingly serious.

The first is the economic sector. Thanks to the movement under the socialist-oriented market economy mechanism for many years, our country has achieved many great achievements in terms of economy and social security, the people's living standard has been significantly improved compared to the previous years. with before. But the moral degradation is very evident in this field through the great criminal cases and many economic cases in which many people are punished by the law in "a large number of cadres and party members". degradation in political thought, morality and lifestyle".

Degrading social morality is also reflected in violent acts in many different fields, from domestic violence, school violence... to public violence. There are people who are willing to use "hot" and "cold" weapons to resolve conflicts in all relationships between parents and children, siblings, spouses, neighbors, friends... Many schools lead to a tragic outcome.

The spread of greed, selfishness, and insensitivity causes many harms to the community and opposes the nation's fine customs and traditions.

In a market economy, everyone is looking for a way to make a lot of money, which is justifiable, but some people have blindly worshiped money, considered “money first” and looked for all sorts of tricks. To have a lot of money, create all conditions for the opposite side of the coin to promote. When money is on the throne, it is also when morality degrades.

Finding the cause of the above situation, we often think it is due to the negative side of the market economy. However, are all mistakes and social moral degradation caused by the "reverse side" of the market economy? Or are there other causes rooted deeply in the cultural background that has been shaken, from the wrong perception, not yet reached? This needs to continue to have a thorough study to come up with a satisfactory solution - starting at the macro level, from policy makers.

The market economy has many positive aspects that should be promoted, but its negative aspects also need to be identified more objectively and scientifically, in order to criticize and overcome effectively. This means that we do not do well, not well, there is even a very dangerous phenomenon of letting go and floating. At the same time, it is impossible not to appreciate other factors that contribute to a specific person such as their personality, interests, desires, etc. In the new era, it is necessary to have a new cultural and ethical value system for people. This is a big, huge problem, but we haven't done it yet.

Human morality must be patriotism and love of socialism, creative work, love of learning, responsibility, sense of discipline... Must get rid of unsuitable customs, at the same time respecting the ancient good values ​​that have become the moral tradition and national identity.

Family, school, and social actors are all responsible and capable of contributing to moral reinforcement. Everyone must first be a good member of the family

Nhưng vẫn chưa đủ bởi để có được thành công, con người còn cần đến những mối quan hệ xã hội. Và sự trung thực và chính trực là yếu tố giúp tạo nên quan hệ bền vững, là thái độ ứng xử cao nhất của sự tôn trọng đối với những người xung quanh, cũng là tôn trọng chính bản thân mình. Có cả điều kiện cần và đủ thì con người mới thành công, đạt được ước mơ, sống thoải mái, thanh thản, hạnh phúc. Có thể coi lòng trung thực là đức tính quý giá và cần thiết nhất của con người trên con đường đi đến thành công bởi sự trung thực chính là nền tảng cơ bản giữ cho những mối quan hệ được bền vững. Sống không trung thực là một điều rất tệ hại và để lại một hậu quả khôn lường.
