My hometown belongs to a low-lying plain in the Central region where there is a lot of sunshine, lots of rain, and constant floods. All year round there is hunger and poverty, lack of food and clothing. However, now life in the countryside has flourished and changed in many fields. I still remember two years ago when I was a second grader, the school we attended was a row of rickety thatched cottages with dilapidated furniture. But now, at the same old school site, two rows of three-storey houses built in the letter L have grown up spaciously and prominently. Polished two-seater tables and chairs with a smell of varnish replace the five-seat tables. The school yard is covered with flat cement with rows of green eucalyptus and phoenix trees. The village road was widened and upgraded with glossy black asphalt. Cars, honda engines started rumbling. Especially electricity has come to the village. It seems that two-thirds of households have televisions and cat-sets and about one-third of households have motorbikes. I also have a Dream that my dad bought two months ago. Every Saturday and Sunday night, my mother and I take my mother and I for a walk around the village road. I love my village very much. Because life in my hometown now is not inferior to the city that I see on TV. What I have mentioned here is only a very small part of the renewal of my homeland.
