From the point of view of traditional grammar, there is no question that “Everyone has his own …” was considered correct. “Everyone” is singular and “his” was traditionally used to imply all genders. (Notice that the verb “has” is only used with the third person singular.) But times change and usage shifts. People began to feel that using male pronouns to stand for both (now all) genders made a lot of people essentially invisible. Attempts to correct this have resulted in the use of pronoun formulations like “he and she”, “he or she”, “him and her”, “him or her”, “his and hers” and so on. Those formulas, however, are annoying and gradually it has become common, at least in everyday speech, to use the plural pronouns to stand for both singular and plural antecedents. Using that approach results in “Everyone has their own …” (And perhaps that should be “Everyone (they) have their own …”) This leaves us in a situation where we either annoy the strict grammarians or sound out of touch with our times. One solution is to replace the singular “Everyone” with a plural equivalent. “All” will do in this case. Your sentence, perfectly correct, becomes “All have their own …” Clearly, we are dealing with a case in which all have their own opinions.
