Chu Van An (1292–1370) was a teacher, physician, and official in Dai Viet at the end of the Tran Dynasty. After his death, he was posthumously awarded the title of Duke of Van by King Tran, so in later generations, he was known to be called Chu Van An or Chu Van Trinh. He was considered by Dai Viet historians to be the ancestor of Vietnamese Confucianism. He was honored by UNESCO as "World Cultural Celebrity".
