Since childhood, I have lived in Cau Giay district, Hanoi city. Listen to grandparents tell, compared to before. The neighborhood where I live has completely changed. Previously, Cau Giay was just a wild field, now the houses on both sides are very spacious, no longer shackled and sloppy. Trees shaded the entire roadside. There is a green public trash can 20 meters away, so the street is clean. The road is paved straight, no potholes. Newly installed drainage system, avoiding flooding after heavy rains. At night, the high-pressure lamps gave off a soft yellow light for us to play in the neighborhood. Everyone is happy and proud of the growing and civilized neighborhood.

 My neighborhood in my father's story is now different from that neighborhood. My neighborhood is very poor in his story. Everyone is living a hard life at that moment. Lack of food, lack of money. It is different now. People no longer live a hard life. They've got enough food, enough money, a house for everybody, and a lot more stuff. Sentiments are the only things that don't change. Everybody will still be very pleased. They work together, and when they need to support each other, that's a privilege. That makes my village, for everyone, a wonderful place. People are just farmers, but in the face of suffering, they have unity. And when they have money in their hands, they are always in unity with each other, they are friendly, they are supportive, they are good people. The landscape is much like the old days. That mountain, that river. Nature, with humans, is peace. People live with nature, people create things from nature, and nature is still accessible to people, providing them with resources to build their home. That's what people are looking for, and they deal with it very well. That's what I can tell about my home village. My village is a beautiful place, in my opinion.
