Trong những năm gần đây, quê hương em có rất nhiều đổi mới đáng kể, trong đó đáng chú ý nhất có thể kể đến sự xuất hiện của những phương tiện hiện đại giúp cho hoạt động canh tác ở quê em trở nên đơn giản, hiệu quả hơn.Người dân quê em sinh sống chủ yếu bằng nghề làm nông, vì vậy mỗi gia đình đều canh tác khoảng hai, ba sào ruộng. Nếu như những năm trước đây, mọi hoạt động gieo trồng, thu hoạch, phơi phóng đều được các cô, các bác làm hoàn toàn thủ công, dựa vào sức người là chúng thì những năm gần đây, sự xuất hiện của các phương tiện hiện đại như: máy cày, máy gieo mạ, máy phụt giúp cho hoạt động canh tác hiệu quả và dễ dàng hơn rất nhiều.Ngày nay, mọi hoạt động sản xuất của quê em đều có sự hỗ trợ của máy móc, những chiếc máy gieo mạ giúp việc gieo trồng diễn ra nhanh, mạ lên đều, thẳng hàng hơn khi gieo bằng tay, khi cây lúa đã đến mùa thu hoạch, những chiếc máy gặt lại là người bạn đắc lực giúp việc thu hoạch diễn ra nhanh chóng, tiết kiệm sức lực. Tiện lợi hơn nữa, khi lúa đã được thu hoạch, người dân quê em có thể sử dụng máy phụt lúa ngay trên đồng, sau đó mang theo những hạt thóc đã được tách khỏi thân lúa về nhà để phơi, sấy.Những loại máy móc hiện đại đã giúp cho hoạt động sản xuất quê em được hiệu quả hơn, năng suất lúa tăng đáng kể, bởi vậy mà đời sống vật chất và tinh thần của người dân quê em cũng được cải thiện rõ rệt.
