Temple of Literature Quoc Tu Giam is one of the most important historical relics of the country. This is considered the first university in Vietnam to preserve and honor the nation's talented scholars. With a rich history and cultural depth, Quoc Tu Giam was ranked as a cultural and historical relic on April 28, 1962 and until now, this has always been an attraction for many tourists not to be missed. when visiting the capital Hanoi.
In the year of Canh Tuat, the 2nd year of Than Vu under Ly Thanh Tong's reign, in the fall of August, a temple of literature is built, statues of Confucius, Chu Cong and Tu Mai are built, a statue of Seven Twelve Sages and four seasons of sacrifice are drawn. From that foundation, Van Mieu Quoc Tu Giam continued to be restored and built until July 13, 1999, when Hanoi started construction of an ergonomic house in the Van Mieu Quoc Tu Giam area.

The historical site of Van Mieu has an area of ​​54,331m2, including: Ho Van, the garden and the inner temple surrounded by brick walls. In front of the large gate are four pillars, on both sides of the four pillars are two steles "Hà Ma". The inner temple is divided into five areas, each area is divided to erect steles and worship tablets of talented scholars throughout the country.
When tourists come to visit the stele area, we can find the names of many famous people who have been mentioned in Vietnamese history books such as: historian Ngo Si Lien- Doctor in 1442 compiled the book Dai Dai. Through the steles, we can not only expand our understanding of the career background of Vietnamese historians, we also learn more about the relationship relations between Southeast Asian countries.
These are considered invaluable works, contributing to the cultural and educational traditions of Vietnam. Up to now, most of the patterns and texts on the stele are still clear. The writing and decoration style of each stele and turtle head are imprinted with the era that created them. Prominent in Quoc Tu Giam campus is the Bich Ung bell cast by Nguyen Nghiem in 1768. This is considered a large bell, bearing many long historical values. On the inside, there are two words "Tho bone" on the inside, and the outside is engraved with an article I wrote in a lacy style about the use of the bell.
