Nowadays, teenagers spend too much time dressing fashionably. Many young people are addicted to their time earning money. The advantage of fashion is that it makes people become famous in seconds. As you know, fashion is an industry that touches every human life. Fashion doesn’t have a monopoly on labor abuses or toxins, it just happens to have an abundance of them and it’s also very personal. We all wear clothes and that impacts how we think about ourselves and how others perceive us. It’s this vast scale and emotional connection that makes fashion an important part of changing the world as we know it. Turns out that the fashion industry works in a take, make, waste model. It means that we take our environment with no hesitation, we make our clothes with very little regard for those who make it and then, because the clothes hold so little value. We wear it once or twice and then it’s in the garbage. How do we put this in perspective? As I calculated if one T-shirt takes 2,700 liters of no water to make and we multiply that by 116 T-shirts that make around 313,200 liters of water. It also harms the health of people living around the water system. Many of us buy fast fashion as a way to keep up with trends, without thinking about the impact we are having on the planet or the people.
