The persimmon tree was planted by my father before Tet. The tree is as tall as my shoulder. Its leaves are bright green, and the flowers are crimson looking like a burning pink flame. The base of the plant is very hard and dark green. The stout trunk is also dark green, but it has many hard spines and gives off many very small branches. The branches of the persimmon tree have many thorns. The edges of the leaves have many serrations, the old leaves are dark green, and the young leaves are gray-green. The rose bud has the shape of a candle, when the bud is young, it wears a blue cloak, with the bud showing the red color of the petals. There are flowers that bloom with red petals with yellow stigmas and a faint fragrance.
In front of the house, my father planted many kinds of flowers. My favorite is the roses that are racing to bloom. This rose belongs to the velvet rose variety with splendid beauty. The flower is as big as my grandfather's tea cup. Each flower has many layers of thin, soft and smooth petals that overlap each other. The deeper into the inner layer, the smaller the petals and tightly wrapped to reveal the tiny clusters of yellow stamens peeking inside. The scent is sweet, attractive to butterflies and bees. Flowers drink the night dew and bathe in the morning sun, so they look fresh, full of pride and confidence. The more the sun rises, the more gorgeous the flowers are and the sweeter the fragrance. The bees are engrossed in sucking nectar from flowers. Above, butterfly wings fluttering with beautiful flowers like bright faces of joy. When this rose fades, another flower takes its place. Therefore, the flower cluster is always full of life. Standing looking at the roses fluttering in the wind, my heart is filled with joy. Roses are very beautiful and fragrant throughout the garden. The more I look at them, the more I love them.
