One day I went home in the rain, then I was wet, so I felt very tired. But at the time, I just thought that I was tired because of the long journey, so I didn't tell my mother. That night, I felt my head hurt, my body was heated, and I was exhausted. After that, I  was continually felt dizzy, constantly sneezing, nauseous and I felt extremely cold. So I told my mum, then when she checked my temperature, she found out that I had a fever. Mom gave me medicine to take and she told me I needed to rest.  I felt better after taking medication and slept for a night. That's my story, how about you?

Một hôm tôi đi mưa về, do người tôi bị dính mưa, ướt hết nên tôi rất mệt. Nhưng lúc đó tôi chỉ nghĩ do đi đường dài nên tôi cảm thấy mệt mỏi nên tôi đã không nói với mẹ. Đêm đó, tôi cảm thấy đầu đau, người nóng lên và kiệt sức. Sau đó, tôi liên tục cảm thấy chóng mặt, hắt hơi liên tục, buồn nôn và tôi cảm thấy vô cùng lạnh. Vì vậy, tôi đã nói với mẹ, và khi bà kiểm tra nhiệt độ của tôi, bà phát hiện ra rằng tôi bị sốt. Mẹ cho tôi uống thuốc và mẹ bảo tôi cần phải nghỉ ngơi. Tôi cảm thấy tốt hơn sau khi uống thuốc và ngủ một giấc. Đó là câu chuyện của tôi, còn bạn thì sao?

Getting Sick As A Child

Take a moment to reflect on getting sick as a child. You woke up one morning to discover a painful, swollen throat accompanied by a pounding head that felt like it was “on fire”. When you alert your parents of your unfortunate discovery, what actions are taken from there? Does your mom call the school, informing them of your excused absence? Does she immediately schedule a doctor’s appointment consisting of a diagnosis of “strep throat” and a prescription for antibiotics? When you got home, were you given a hearty bowl of chicken noodle soup and instructed to “rest up”? Now, imagine you were in a different setting. When you tell your parents you’re sick, does your dad tell you to pretend it’s not there and it’ll pass in a few days? Refuse to take you to get medical attention because you can’t afford health insurance? Does he send you off to school because he can’t afford to take a day off from his construction job to babysit you at home?

Tell about a day when you fell ill

A healthy lifestyle is an important factor in keeping a body healthy. It is highly necessary to maintain a proper routine in order to keep your body healthy. There are different ailments one can suffer from due to various reasons, such as cold, flu, nausea, and many more. I also fell ill at the start of this winter season, during last December.

I have recently shifted to Dehradun and this was my first winter season spent here. As I had shifted from another city and did not take heed of the weather change. Moreover, I ate a lot of cold foods and beverages and roamed around the city in the cold winds without wearing warm clothes. Due to these negligent practices, I caught cold and a high fever with severe body ache.

I was very tired that day due to lack of sleep. I was coughing, sneezing, and had a running nose. It was a very bad experience and it taught me a lot. With a lot of difficulty, I got ready and went to a doctor. The doctor advised me medicines and gave me strict instructions to follow regarding my routine and things to take care of during extremely cold weather. During my bed-rest, I had to take leaves from office, resulting in a disrupted routine, and loss of pay. My work and social life suffered equally, and I learned a lesson to maintain a proper routine and to take care of my health in order to prevent any future illnesses.
