Alexander Graham Bell was a Scottish inventor, scientist, and innovator. Born and raised in Edinburgh, Scotland, he immigrated to Québec, Canada in 1870 and then to Boston, Massachusetts, USA in 1871, becoming a US citizen in 1882. He is considered the first to capitalize on the invention of the telephone by developing the ideas of his predecessors to make them relevant to the market and into a business opportunity. He also co-founded Bell Laboratories, the Bell Telephone Company, and the American Telephone and Telegraph Company in 1885. In his honor, the unit of measurement of sound intensity was named Bel, primarily. called decibels. His research in hearing and voice continued to lead him to experiment with hearing aids and eventually, Bell was awarded the first US patent for a telephone, on 7 March. in 1876. Bell considered his invention an invasion of his real work as a scientist and refused to use the telephone in his research. Many other inventions marked Bell's later life, including groundbreaking work in Optical Communications in Free Space, hydrofoils, and aeronautics. Although other inventions have been recognized, Bell's patent is still valid today.

On March 3 , 1847 , one of the famous inventor had been born in Edinburd – Alexander Graham Bell . He was Scotsman but he emigrated to Canada and then go to USA in the 1870s .

In America , he worked with deaf-mutes at the Boston University. Then , he started experimeting with ways of transmitting speech over a long distance .

After many experiments , Finally he and his assistant, Thomas Waston  came up with a device which they first introduced in 1876. Bell said on the phone “ Mr.Waston, come here. I want you  “ This was the first telephone message .

Then he travelled all over America and demonstrated his invention to the public at countless exhibitions and by 1877 the first telephone was in commercial use .
