Viet Nam is a country that has a lot of diversity in ethnic groups. Have you ever heard about the Cham people? Today I'm going to share with you something I know about this ethnic group. 

     With a population of nearly 179 thousand, the Cham people gather mainly in some southern provinces such as Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan and Tay Ninh. Their language belongs to the Malayo-Polynesian group. The Cham's production activities are very diverse. Some of the most common activities of the Cham are fishing and making handicrafts. They are experienced in these activities, so their products are very good, and the Cham are famous for their silk and hand-made pottery. They also cultivate wet rice like most other groups in Viet Nam.

     Every year, the Katé festival is held by the Cham to commemorate the dead and honor heroes in the community. Various agricultural ceremonies are performed during the year for a new canal, for young rice and for so many other occasions.

     Finally, I find the Cham people's life is interesting. If it is possible, you should experience their way of life. It's worth your time.

    Hàng năm, lễ hội Ka-tê được tổ chức bởi người Chăm để tưởng nhớ những người đã khuất và vinh danh những người anh hùng trong cộng đồng. Các nghi lễ nông nghiệp khác nhau cũng được tổ chức trong suốt cả năm vào dịp mừng 1 con kênh mới, mừng lúa non và rất nhiều các dịp khác nữa.

     Cuối cùng, tôi thấy cuộc sống của người Chăm rất thú vị. Nếu có dịp, bạn nên trải nghiệm cách sống của họ. Đây là việc đáng làm đấy!

         The Tay-the biggest ethnic minority after Viet (Kinh) ethnic minority occupies 1st place in te ethnic minorities of Vietnam. While people have 86% of the  population, Tay residents have less than 2%. Their number is estimated at approximately 1,7 million. This group is divided into smaller groups.
        People inhabit the area mainly in the north-eastern part of northern Vietnam, in the provinces of Cao Bang, Lang Son, Bac Kan, Quang Ninh, Ha Giang, in smaller numbers in Yen Bai and Lao Cai.
The culture of the Tay ethnic group is very rich. Starting with traditional folklore and wedding songs,
poems, dances and music. The well-known song is Hat Luon… it’s called duet between lovers. During the year, there are several festivals and celebrations that have different meanings. They are typical farmers and some traditions have persisted to the present.
      Clothes are not so colorful as with other ethnic minorities. Clothes are made of cotton that is dyed indigo color. There is not so much to see the embroidery or other decorations. Women wear skirts or pants, polo shirt and back scarf, men wear trousers and shirt or T-shirt.      The house is built on the pillars. They use the tiles, straw or palm leaf for building the roof and wood or bamboo for walls. The villagers’ houses are often built in the foothills and are often named according to mountains, rivers or fields that are located here. Villagers are often large and have dozens of homes at once.
