⇒ until ⇒ dùng thì ht hoàn thành ở câu tt ⇒ đổi sang gt lùi 1 thì thành qk hoàn thành.

5. Jason and Victoria told me they would do their best in the exams the following day.

⇒ the following day ở câu gt = tomorrow ở câu tt ⇒ dùng thì tương lai đơn ⇒ chuyển sang câu gt lùi 1 thì, will thành would.

6, I wondered why Nick hadn't gone to New York the summer before.

⇒ the summer before ở gt = the last summer ở tt ⇒ dùng thì qk đơn ⇒ ở câu gián tiếp lùi 1 thì thành:  Giữ nguyên / Qk hoàn thành (1 trong 2)

7. John told me that there might not be dessert after dinner.

⇒ Trong câu gián tiếp, modal verb (might, need, ought to,...)(trừ will,can) giữ nguyên.

8, She asked me if everyone must contact the Magic Number in emergency situations.

⇒ Tương tự câu 7

9 My mom said she was going to visit a friend of hers in London.

⇒ Thì tương lai gần ở câu tt có cấu trúc : S +to be + going to + V(inf) ⇒ câu gt lùi 1 thì is thành was.
