Children shouldn't be given pocket money.

Around the world, A lot of families give children money if they do house chores. This essay will discuss why I think children shouldn’t get money for doing house chores. The reasons for that are, They are part of a family, Children don’t need money,

The children are part of the family. If you are part of the family, Everybody should help cleaning the house otherwise the house will be messy. However, If it was only the parents cleaning, It might take them a longer time than everyone helping with cleaning the house. On top of that, If you give the children pocket money for doing the house chores, They will only clean when there is money. For example, If the parents have money to do the chores but don’t give them money, They wouldn’t do the chores.

Children don’t need money. If the children get money from doing chores, They will spend the money on themselves instead of spending money for the family. For example, If they had enough money to buy the toy they wanted, They would use the money to buy the toy instead of using it for their family. On top of that, The children have already had enough resources at home like electricity, Water, Bed, Clothes, Education, Food…etc. When the children have food, The parents have to pay for it. Therefore, The children don’t need the money.

I hope you all agree with me that all children shouldn’t get pocket money for doing the house chores. The children may want the money but, The parents need it to pay for things. If you keep giving them pocket money, You may even become poor because you gave all the money to your children to spend. Therefore, You shouldn’t give children pocket money.
