So three customs and traditions I like the most are decorating houses at Tet, going to the pagoda and watching fireworks on New Year's Eve. In decorate houses, homes are cleaned and decorated before New Year's Eve, children helped their parents to the sweeping floor and cleaning the windows. The kitchen will be cleaned before the 23rd night of the last month. Usually, the head of the household cleans the altar. It is a common belief that cleaning the house will get rid of the bad omen of the last year out. In going to the pagoda, people usually pray to the Buddha to bring prosperous and full life and finally, watching fireworks on New Year Eve, people will go to the beautiful places to watch fireworks, when the clock turns 12, couples will exchange a New Year kiss. I feel so happy when I take part in these customs and traditions. It is very important to continue Vietnamese customs and traditions because it brings a sense of belonging and I like going to the pagoda most because when going there, I can pray for my family to stay healthy and full.
