Ta có một số cấu trúc thường gặp trong câu tường thuật :

S1 + advised + S2 + ( not ) to V ( Khuyên ai đó làm điều gì/ không nên làm điều gì )

S1 + asked / told + ( not ) to V ( Hỏi / bảo ai đó làm gì / không nên làm gì )

Áp dụng vào bài ta có :

1. Jane advised her husband not to go out that night.

2. Mary asked David if / whether he could take her to the bus stop.

3. Mrs. Corner told the boys not to make so much noise.

4. The teacher told me to keep calm.

5. Kathy's mother advised her to go to see the dentist.

6. She advised her husband to drive slowly.

7. Mrs. Hoa told Nam to close the door before going out. 

8. She asked the students to hand in their homework the following Monday.

9. I asked the policeman if / whether he could show me how to get to the nearest bank.
