There are many dangerous natural disasters and flood is one of them. A flood happens when excessive water is collected in any area, usually, as a result of heavy downfall or a leakage in the dams system. In this essay, I want to present my opinion on floods and ways to lessen their damage.

In conclusion, we cannot prevent natural causes like rain and the melting of glaciers. However, we can stop the manmade causes like the breaking of dams, poor drainage systems by installing warning systems, and more.
