On one hand, there are several negative consequences for playing video games such as student-players obesity, poor school performance, and addiction. Firstly, when you sit in one place and play for too long, you are minimizing your energy lost and all the excess energy gets turned into fat and then gets piled up eventually leading to obesity. Secondly, allocating your time for games reduces the time for studying leading to their worse academic performance. And finally, whenever you win or accomplish some satisfactory feats, your brain produces a chemical called dopamine to make you happy, extended exposure eventually causes addiction where you always want more. On the other hand, one can not be denied that video games bring out many benefits for students of video games such as eyesight, dexterity, and black matter improvement. There could also be an improvement in their social skills and a development of problem-solving skills. It can also act as a stress reliever and enhance your determination. And there are a lot of potentials for educational games to teach players someone things that are not taught in schools. You could learn history, math, and a variety of other subjects in a video game in the most natural way, especially coding which is usually uncommon knowledge for the masses. The stress-relieving properties of games are also very valuable as stress can be detrimental to both the mental and physical health of someone.

In conclusion, video games are good but as everything should only be in moderation, it should not be the primary focus of someone unless their livelihood depends on it.
