Moon-Festival is an important festival(or an occasion) in Vietnam 200 years ago.It"s called Moon -Festival or the another nameis Mid-Autumm -Festival. It happens at September or early October every year, when  the moon is full.This festival started in China in 10th century.Ancient people imagined two figures and some things like: The Moon boy,the moon lady, banyan tree and the moon palace. Children always play lanterns and eat moon cakes with their families .Families and friends eat a special meal and spend time looking at the moon and prepare a banquet to worship.In the evening, there are many dragon dances go pass your homes. In my village, adults play instruments like:drum, trumpet and organised. Everything, everybody and everywhere have a lot of laughed of people.Some people and children are sing a lot of songs of The Moon-Festival.It had lots of fun.All in all, we can see the spirit of Vietnam ethnic. On the night of the Mid-Autumn Festival, my village became beautiful. The night enveloped everything. In the sky, moonlight shines down on everything. Children in the neighborhood eagerly went to the light procession. Above, the moon shines down on everything. The children were excited to carry the lanterns. People used to make them by hand a long time ago. Today, most mooncakes are made by factory employees. Last but not least, the festival is never complete without a lion dance. Lion dance is a manifestation of prosperity, success, health, and wealth, so many lion dance competitions are held. I really love the Mid-Autumn Festival because through that occasion we know more solidarity and love each other.

On this occasion, many funny and interesting activities take place. Making lanterns is one of the activities in this festival. Such funny masks and various lanterns are carefully made by skillful artisans. Nowadays, groups of young Vietnamese create unique and beautiful lanterns based on the traditional ones.

Meanwhile, adults prepare parties with many different foods from Moon Cakes, candies, and biscuits to fruits. Among those, Moon Cake is the most important and specific cake which is only produced in this festival. Moon Cake is the combination of flavor, meat, egg, dried fruit, pumpkin’s seed, and peanut, all of them create a sweet and good taste. The meaning of this cake is symbolizing Luck, Happiness, Health and Wealth. Besides, children during the festival are provided with many nice lanterns of all interesting shapes like star, flower and various funny masks used for special performances in the full-moon evening.
