Student age is a mix of happy and sad memories, throughout the years of sitting on the school chair. My student age also has such memories. But after that, there is a memory that I will never forget. That was the camp I attended when I was in 6th grade.

At that time, we were just 11-year-old girls and boys, as surprised as a baby bird under the new roof of a new high school. Everyone is shy and timid. Suddenly, a weekend near the Mid-Autumn Festival, the homeroom teacher announced that the school organized a Mid-Autumn Festival camp for students in grades 6, 7, 8, and 9th graders would guide and help us. My whole class was both happy and worried, under her guidance, we awkwardly split up to prepare everything.

A week before the camp, a light and joyful atmosphere enveloped the whole class. As soon as the recess bell rang, we gathered to discuss how to decorate the farm. Everyone seems to be getting closer to each other. I was assigned the task of carrying the country's flag and Uncle Ho's photo, both of which were in my grandfather's house, he promised to lend me. The rest prepare canvas, stakes, camp gate, stickers, ribbons, flashing lights.

A week quickly passed, the whole school exploded in a jubilant and bustling atmosphere. In the middle of the colorful schoolyard and crowded with students, my class started to set up camp. Two brothers in grade 9 were assigned to guide us. The brothers meticulously showed us how to measure, drive stakes, pull ropes, stretch camps and build gates. The sun was high in the sky, the intense sunlight made everyone drenched in sweat. However, looking at the class camp standing neatly, pretty like a miniature house with blue as the main color, we all grinned. The girls skillfully arranged sweets and fruits in front of Uncle Ho's photo. The sign with the words "6A Branch" flashing on the roof of the curved camp gate is extremely beautiful.

After setting up the camp, the teachers in charge announced the opening of the camp. Classes will have cultural competitions, games and campfires, then the camp will be marked, mock announcement and closing ceremony will be completed. Our girls and students hurriedly prepared costumes for the art team. Among hundreds of students from other classes, shouts of "6A fighting!" resounded throughout the schoolyard. My class performed quite impressively, and everyone enthusiastically supported it. After completing the art competition, the whole class must divide in half to participate in the games. Half went to the tug-of-war, shuttlecock, and jump rope competitions. Half went to the democratic flower-picking contest. Occasionally, this group would run to the other group's exam area, cheering. Everyone looked at each other and smiled brightly. Tired of playing and won many prizes, the whole class went to camp, shared candies, fruits, drinks, talked about interesting things they encountered. All of a sudden, we all felt like a close-knit family.

The most anticipated part of camping is the bonfire. The torchlight burned in the middle of the class circle of students holding hands. We sang the song that lit the fire together and spent the first Mid-Autumn Festival together in middle school. After that, the whole class invited each other to buy lanterns of all shapes, following each other around the school yard. Time has passed so quickly, the camping has come to an end. The jury announced the camp prize. The beautiful camp of my class won the second prize. The moment when we called class 6A's name, we hugged each other and jumped for joy. The housewife prepared delicious baked goods, we happily ate together before we packed up and left.

The camping trip ended, but its echoes still linger. It was not only the first camp in our student life but also a collective memory of strangers in our class. That camping trip is a beautiful memory in my student years.
