The city is well known for its fresh atmosphere, friendly people and security. The weather is glorious all the year and it brings this city many delicacies from sea and perfect living condition for people, specifically the elder. Visiting Da Nang, I am really impressed by Ba Na hill containing longest cable car from land to the top of the mountain. It is an unforgettable experience for visitors to observe breathtaking sight and picturesque scene. Beside, the beaches have long golden sand, deep blue sea in addition huge bunches of fresh coconut. Tourist has a chance to relax, enjoy the peace and nature, play aquatic sport. Moreover, the city has many big bridges like: Dragon bridge, Quay bridge and a large outdoor entertainment named Asia park. Additionally, there are a lot of delicious typical dishes such as: Quang noodle, xeo cake, pork pan-cake and others. Da Nang is preserved for its natural beauty; therefore, there is an increasing number of tourists come here. Consequently, it leads to polluted environment, natural damage and other social problem. However, the security of the city is good that there is no street robbery. Hence, Da Nang is voted to be one of the most worth-living cities in Vietnam. In the future, I hope Da Nang will develop and become more popular over the world.

Ho Chi Minh City (former name is Saigon) is 1,730 km (by road) from Hanoi to the North; from the city center 50 km from the East Sea by the flight path, with 15 km of coastline, the natural area of ​​2,095 km2, the population of more than 6 million people.

   Since the place Saigon was recorded in the books of the Nguyen dynasty in 1608 until now, this land is over 300 years old. In the beginning of the year of the Tiger (1698), Governor Nguyen Huu Canh was ordered by Lord Nguyen to expand the land to the south. He established Gia Dinh palace, founded Dong Nai, Saigon, built Tran Bien palace ... The land in the South at that time was wide and sparsely populated. In 1859, the French colonialists invaded Gia Dinh, the population here was only about 500,000 people. The French military governor, Bonard, divided Gia Dinh province into 3 districts, each with 3 districts, the total below the district, and the commune under the total. Saigon at that time was the capital of Gia Dinh. In 1864, Cholon was separated from Saigon because it was a living area of ​​the Chinese on the way to prosperity.

   At the end of the nineteenth century, Saigon took on the form of a Western-style city. In the inner city, there appeared big roads with crossroads, crossroads, intersections. Many storeys built with bricks, reinforced cement, squares, ports, parks ... turn up. There are hundreds of rivers and canals in Saigon, but there are not many large rivers, the largest is the Saigon River, the section flowing through the city is 106 km long. The river system from the city to the East and down to the western provinces, to Cambodia is convenient. The climate here is divided into two distinct seasons. The rainy season lasts from May to November, the dry season from December to April next year. The average temperature is 27 ° c. Soil is mainly caused by old alluvium and newly built up alluvium.

   Due to the geographical location and favorable soil and climate factors, this land soon became the convergence of the merchants of the four seas and five continents. Saigon Port was established in 1862. Western merchant ships and neighboring countries have docked at Saigon port.    At the end of the nineteenth century (on March 15, 1874), the President of the French Republic signed a decree to establish Saigon city. Since then, a series of works were built: Offices, schools, hospitals, churches, commercial centers, service technology, transportation, post offices ... Early twentieth century, markets Big again merged into Saigon. Saigon - Cholon became the largest city in Indochina, hailed as the Pearl of the Far East.

   Saigon is known all over the world because it is the opening place for the heroic resistance against the French invaders and successfully ends the resistance against the US with the historic Ho Chi Minh campaign on April 30. 1975.
The first session of the 6th National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam held on July 2, 1976 decided to change the name Saigon to Ho Chi Minh City.

   The whole city now has 24 districts. The inner city has districts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, Tan Binh, Binh Thanh, Phu Nhuan, Thu Duc, Go Vap, Binh Tan and Tan Phu. In the suburbs, there are districts of Nha Be, Can Gio, Hoc Mon, Cu Chi, Binh Chanh. There are 317 wards, communes and towns in total. The ethnic groups: Kinh, Hoa, Cham, Khmer ... live together on this rich land.

   The population of the city is about 6 million people. Foreign businesses invest heavily in the production of goods, business and services ... so the city has the size of the largest industrial and commercial center in the country. Ho Chi Minh City is the transportation hub of the whole South, including railway, road, waterway and airway. From the city to Hanoi, there are National Highway 1A, Thong Nhat railway and highway 13 through Indochina. Tan Son Nhat International Airport, 7 km from the city center, is the largest airport in Vietnam with dozens of international flights.

In addition to good infrastructure and a relatively convenient transportation network, Ho Chi Minh City also has great tourism potential. This place is a land associated with the history of the struggle for independence of our nation since the French colonialists set foot in Vietnam and is also the place where young Nguyen Tat Thanh went to find a way to save the country ( 1911). Attached to that event, Nha Rong Wharf and Ho Chi Minh Tiger Museum are important monuments, attracting many domestic and foreign tourists. Other revolutionary relics such as Cu Chi Tunnels, 18 Von Trau village, Ben Duoc martyrs' temple, museums, large theaters, French-era buildings are attractive tourist spots. Recently, the city has built more tourist resorts such as Thanh Da, Binh Quoi, entertainment areas such as Dam Sen, Ky Hoa, Suoi Tien, .., attracting a large number of tourists. The city is embellishing historical relics, ancient architectural works ... restoring traditional cultures combined with organizing festivals, eco-tours to exploit the potential and develop tourism technology development of the city.

   With more than 300 years of establishment and development, Ho Chi Minh City has many famous architectural works such as Ben Nha Rong, Saigon Port, Quoc To Temple, Xa Tay Palace (City People's Committee), House singing aloud, City Post Office, ancient lords (Giac Lam pagoda, Ba Thien Hau pagoda, Dinh Giac Vien pagoda ...), old churches like Notre Dame, Huyen Si, Thong Tay Hoi, Thu Duc. ..). In general, Saigon - Gia Dinh is the convergence of many cultural flows and has a culture that harmoniously combines the traditions of the Vietnamese, the Cham, and the Kh'mer with the features of the Northern culture and The West.

   It can be said that Saigon - Ho Chi Minh City is the cultural and political center of the South that was born and developed quite early and abundant in books, newspapers, schools, intellectuals and artists. Cultural, literary and artistic exchange activities take place regularly, making Saigon a city of cultural influence for the whole country. With great potential, in the near future, Ho Chi Minh City will surely develop on a par with modern, civilized cities in the region and in the world.
