So the kids went together to collect beer cans, cow milk cans to sit and giddy “craft” lanterns. The lazy one punched a hole in the lid of the cow’s milk can and plugged it into a bamboo tree full of cups, and those who worked more diligently cut the can of the can to make beautiful lanterns. It’s so simple but so much fun, because that day children don’t ask for anything luxury, the Mid-Autumn Festival just needs to be together to pick up the lights from all over the village below, it’s so fun!

However, there are still many children in remote areas who do not have enough conditions to welcome a full Mid-Autumn Festival with joy. With the desire to bring a meaningful festival to the children in need, the young people in the volunteer group Y Tam came up with the idea of raising Mid-Autumn Festival fund from the sale of recycled lanterns.

Taking the first year to experiment with making lanterns, the team learned from the following experiences to make the lantern more perfect:

B1: Beer or beverage cans, instead of being thrown into the trash, are gathered to donate to the program.

B2: The cans, after grinding the top cover, will use a scalpel to draw parallel lines. This stitch is extremely important, because to create a beautiful lantern, the parallel lines must be evenly drawn.

B3: Sau đó mọi người tiến hành xé vỏ lon theo các đường đã kẻ sẵn. Người thực hiện phải cẩn thận để không xé lố đường kẻ.

B4: Sau đó sẽ đến công đoạn tạo hình cho chiếc lồng đèn.

B5: The lampshade after forming will be perforated to make the candle holder.

B6: The candle holder is handcrafted from wood and zinc rods.

B7: The zinc is bent into a handle for the lantern. The lantern with added feathers is complete.
