People predicted that 2020 was humanity's worst year ever due to pandemics and natural disasters, including flooding and typhoons. They wreaked havoc on Vietnam's central provinces in October and November. The flood has struck again as of November 17th, with at least 239 people reported dead or missing, and 1.5 million people are directly affected. According to Vietnamese newspapers, natural disasters, especially floods and storms, killed 372 people and caused damages worth VND38.4 trillions in the first 11 months of this year. To address this, the government has given emergency food to the neediest citizens and farmland restoration, healthy access to clean water, and alternative learning options to ensure learning continuity.
