They found that they had to be quick and get on the train or it would go off without them. One day they went to Hype Park and walked along on the grass to Kensington Gardens in bright autumn sunshine. This was different from the crowded streets, and Mary said that it was like being back home. The leaves of the great trees were turning red, brown and yellow, birds were flying about, there were lots of flowers and ducks swimming about on the Round Pond.
