Flood is one of the deadliest catastrophes in the world. The reality is that every flood causes damage not only to property but also to people. Vietnam, the S-shaped land located in Southeast Asia is severely affected by floods, especially in central Vietnam. Every year, about 10-15 floods happen in Vietnam. The main reason is heavy rain with an average annual rainfall of 1500-2000mm due to its location. The influence of monsoons is also one reason why Vietnam suffers from typhoons and tropical depressions. Furthermore, besides the sea, tides cause flooding in many areas with poor drainage. Additionally, global warming leads to sea-level rise and deforestation makes the problem more serious. Floods destroy the land, paddy fields, houses, and damage facilities in the middle region. People lost their homes and even their lives due to floods. Although Vietnam always supports localities, it will take time and as soon as life is restored, floods will occur again. To prevent this, the government is looking for a new, modern solution and put in place preventive measures with warnings as soon as possible. I hope that in the future Vietnam will have a more effective solution and the local people in the central region will have a better life.
