A Severe drought affected Dong Thap province in 2016 for some months. There wasn't rain for 7 months and the temperature reached over 40 degrees Celsius. The drought had serious results on the area. It caused loss of life for some animals and was very bad for farming life. The rice paddies was dried and the soil was unable to grow. People had many problems on health and children got sick because of this hot season. To save the situation, the villagers were advised to limit their outside activities by day.
