Starting last year I started college. So I need to move to the city where I go to. For a student like me, living in the city is not easy. All costs in the city are more expensive than in the countryside. Therefore, besides studying, I have to work part-time to have living expenses. The city was always crowded and noisy. If you go out into the street at 10 pm you will still see a lot of people and cars on the road. One thing that I find very inconvenient is traffic congestion. In cities, especially in central areas, during peak hours, it is extremely congested. DO has a lot of transportation so the atmosphere in the city is full of dust and smoke. Since I live alone, I have very few friends here. That is why I often miss home. When I have free time I often call my mother to tell her about my experiences. Although life in the city is difficult, it also gives me many benefits. I feel more mature.

The advantages and disadvantages of living in the city. 

There are many advantages as well as disadvantages of living in the city. 

In the city, the houses are supplied with electricity and drinking-water. People go from place to place very quickly by motorbike, by bus or by taxi. Housewives can buy everything they need in shops and supermarkets everywhere. Children study at the schools near their houses. For entertainment, city people can go to theatres and amusement centres. Urban workers always earn more money than the labourers do in the countryside. 

However, the pollution of air, water and noise in the city badly affects people’s health. Traffic accidents and social evils, which are popular in the city, also threaten people’s safety and happiness. 

Young people find it more suitable to live in the city, but it is not quite good for the old to live there.
