There is a famous festival in Vietnam, it's Tet. Before Tet, I and my mother went shopping to buy, flowers, new clothes and some ingredients to make Chung cake. Then we made Chung cake, it was very fun, we felt very happy when we worked together, after that, I helped my father to decorate our house. But I like most is 30th of Tet, at midnight, I woke up and welcomed New Year's Eve with my family. In three days of Tet, we visited our relative and went to pagoda to wish good things for New Year. After Tet, we returned to everyday life, students backed to school and all people returned to work. I love Tet because it brings many fun to me!

Có một lễ hội nổi tiếng ở Việt Nam, đó là Tết. Trước Tết, tôi và mẹ đã đi sắm sửa hoa, quần áo mới và một số nguyên liệu để làm bánh Chưng. Sau đó chúng tôi làm bánh Chung, rất vui, chúng tôi cảm thấy rất vui khi cùng nhau làm, sau đó, tôi giúp bố trang trí nhà cửa. To all Vietnames people, Lunar New Year, also called Tet, is one of the most important celebrations throughout the year. It occurs in late January or early February, the time when spring comes. This year, I stay with my family to celebrate the coming of a new year. Before Tet, our family had to do many preparations such as cleaning house or cooking traditional dishes. In Northern Vietnam, people usually make banh Chung, while in Southern provinces, people make banh Tet. They are all made from sticky rice, pork and mungbean wrapped in green dong leaves and then they are boiled for about 6 hours. We live in Thai Binh, a northern province so we make banh chung for Tet. On the first day of Tet, we went to relatives' house and gave the elderly and children lucky money in a red envelope. The tradition of visiting relatives happened for the next two days and in the meantime, we had parties with traditional dishes prepared beforehand. After Tet, life went on as usual with the hope of a prosperous year. Tet is a great time for family members gather and enjoy the moment they have together.
