- There are many reasons for global warming. The main reason is the increase in greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.Greenhouse gases are gases that trap heat and cause the temperature of the earth to rise. These gases include carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide and water vapor. Carbon dioxide comes from burning fossil fuels, like coal, oil and natural gas; when plants grow they take in carbon dioxide and give off oxygen as a result of photosynthesis.

- The world has a problem. The climate is changing, and we are the cause. The good news is that there are many things we can do right now to reduce our carbon footprint  and not just by recycling more and driving less. We can also save energy in our homes and offices, reduce our consumption of meat and other animal products, invest in clean energy projects and take action in our communities.
