Lunar New Year or Tet is the most important celebration in Viet Nam. Therfore, most Vietnamese people try to return home on this occasion.

 Tet occurs in late January and early February. People celebrate Tet in almost places in Viet Nam . This is a time for Vietnamese people to worship there ancestors. They are perpare a five-fruit tray, mari golds, incense on the family altars. One week before the festival, people clean and decorate their houses with many beautiful kinds of flowers such as : peach blossoms and apricot. Each family cooks traditionals dishes and chung cake is a essential dish in each meal. The thing I like best is getting lucky money which is wrapping in red tiny envelops.

Tet holiday is a important traditional festival of vietnamese in the first days of lunar new year .It is an special occasion for family reunion.For me,tet holiday is very meaningful to reunite with family and celebrate together.My family is very busy with some housework such as: cleaning house,buying food,fruits,ect... And this is really happy for me,besides we also clean tombs for ancestors.We will have a new year's eve party together. In addition,this is an oppertunity for my family to be more close-knit and more love each other,everything seems peaceful, i feel so warm and sweet as tet days come.And i am also moved with warm wishes of eveyone sends for each other.I think Tet is the best day of the year.
