You can wake up to radio, listen while getting ready for your day (even in the shower), while in the car, at work, on the way home, while preparing, eating and cleaning up dinner, relaxing before bed, getting ready for bed, and even while sleeping. Put on some smooth jazz or love songs and you can even listen while making love. Moreover, it is cheap and not complicated. Radio programmes are so much cheaper to produce on radio, producers are far more willing to invest time in encouraging new writers and supporting them through the early stages if they show promise.

In this respect, the radio is superior to television. Even a man driving a motor-car can listen to beautiful music if he has radio in his car. But it is not possible to watch television inside a motor vehicle while one is driving.
