The most atypical natural disaster in my country is the flood. It usually happens in January and February. Due to the extreme rain, rivers overflow and cause floods. The water level rises rapidly and floods many houses, roads and crops. Since most of the people live near rivers, it's hard for them to escape from the danger zone. They must wait until the flood subsides by themselves. Usually, when a flood occurs, all local governments will send emergency rescue teams to help those people who are still trapped in their homes or on their farmland. They also provide emergency food supplies for them during this period of time. In addition, they remind people not to panic when they see high water levels on their way home or at work because it may lead to car accidents due to slippery roads caused by rainwater. They also encourage people not to drive through areas where there is already high water levels because their cars may get stuck due to mud or rocks under water level that block traffic movement altogether. In addition, they encourage everyone not to cross any bridge if it is flooded. The pressure of many cars on the bridge at once can cause it to collapse, resulting in serious injury for drivers.
