The school is the institution that guides our development from childhood to adulthood. It is the place where we learn to socialize and develop our personality. In my country, the school has a very important role in teaching young people the importance of knowledge, but this role has been changing in recent years. In the past, schools were more strict and teachers were more respected because they were considered to be wise people who had studied many years at university and knew everything about their subject. They were respected because they were powerful people who could give you good marks or bad marks, depending on how well you did in class. Nowadays, however, things have changed a lot and students are getting more power over their teachers than before. The reason for this is that students can do whatever they want without being punished by their teachers because they know that nothing will happen if they misbehave in class or fail an exam; perhaps even worse, their parents will not punish them for doing so either!I think that this situation is a problem because students should have respect for their teachers but nowadays most of them do not have any respect for them at all!
