Last week, I watched Paul on DVD. It’s a science fiction film which is also a comedy. The film stars Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, two British actors. It’s the story of two friends, Graeme and Clive, who are on holiday in the US. They are science fiction fans and they are visiting all the places that they know about from their science fiction magazines. Near Area 51, they meet an alien called Paul. Paul is running away from the FBI. He asks Graeme and Clive to help him escape and they agree. The characters of Graeme and Clive are interesting because they change during the film. At the start, they’re quiet and shy. However, during their adventures they become brave, loyal and strong. The film is really about the relationship between Graeme, Clive and Paul, although there is also a love story. In my opinion, this is a fast-moving and gripping film, although it’s also a comedy.
