In the future, I want to be the type of person who is able to stay calm and centered even in challenging circumstances. It's easy to be calm when life is progressing smoothly, but it's when things start to get out of control that we get to see where our priorities really lie. Even though some stress is actually helpful, as long as it isn't overwhelming us, I think I would be a lot happier if I could learn to keep my cool and stay positive most of the time. I also want to become someone who can give more easily. That doesn't just mean money or material things; it means giving generously of my time, my energy, and myself. It means being able to give without thinking about what I'm going to get in return. It's something I struggle with at times, because there are certain people who are just takers-they'll take and take, but rarely do they ever offer anything in return. If I'm not careful, that can lead me to start thinking about what everyone else has given me lately before deciding whether or not to help someone out. But that kind of selfishness is not what I want for myself.  If I can learn the importance of giving, no matter what the situation, then that is something that nobody can ever take away from me.
