I was so glad to hear from you! I don't usually write letters like this, so it's nice to know that someone still enjoys receiving them, it's a great use of my time.
In fact, my favorite way of communicating is writing by hand. I write notes on sticky notes and leave them around the house for my friend. She does her own version of this for me, too, it makes it easy for us to express our feelings without interrupting each other. If we need something more substantial than a quick note, we'll write a letter and leave it in the mailbox. It's been working wonderfully for us over the last couple years, and I hope we can keep doing it forever!
Though I enjoy writing by hand (and receiving letters), I'm also a fan of texting and email. My in-laws aren't as good at communicating as we are, so having options has been helpful. In any case, I'm always happy to hear from you; feel free to reach out any time!
