Well, my pen-friend. I am so glad to hear from you. Since we last met, I went on a trip with my family to San Francisco. We were in the city for about a week, and had a great time seeing the sights and learning about the area's history. 

We stayed at an awesome hotel right in downtown, so we didn't have to travel far to see any of the popular attractions. My dad got us passes to ride one of those double-decker tour buses that takes you all over the city, so we could get on and off whenever we wanted to check out a museum or favorite restaurant.

The best part of our stay was probably when Dad took us to Alcatraz Island! We rode a boat out there and toured the prison, where all sorts of famous criminals were held back in the day. It was really creepy, but really cool too.
