Nowadays, more and more people want to live in the city because its advantages. But beside that, living in a city has a number of drawbacks. Firstly, there is traffic jam. On the roads, especially peak hours, there are many vehicles moving on the same road and it caused traffic jams. The increase in population and numbers of owner vehicles have caused traffic accidents every day. Public transport is uncomfortable and inefficient for almost people. Secondly, air polution has negative effects people's health, animals, vegetation and buildings. More and more city people suffer coughing or breathing problems becase air contain foreign materials or gases such as carbon dioxide, sulphur and nitrogen beyond prescribed limit. Thirdly, the city is noisy. Noise pollution come from machines, vehicles, industrial factories. It may affect the mind, health and behaviour. It may cause physically discomfort and temporary or permanent damage to hearing. It causes headache and irritability. It may cause deafness, stress and high-blood pressure. In short, city is not only has advantages but also have drawbacks. If we want to live in the city, we must learn how to protect ourselves from these drawbacks.
